The Elevator Learning Center is an approved provider of Safety Education using certified OSHA and Safety instructors. We deliver the following courses approved for credit toward CET and/or CAT recertification.

Safe 9 Elevator Safety Training
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
This course will provide hands-on safety station certification training to educate field personnel on the Safe 9 hazards that can cause serious and fatal injuries.

- Lockout/Tagout
- Jumpers
- Fall hazards/protection
- Mechanical energy
- Top of car, pit access and egress
- Hoisting and Rigging

2-Hour Tool Box Talks SST-304
This course is approved by the NYC Department of Buildings to satisfy the Site Safety Training (SST) requirements as per NYC Local Law 196.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
- This course will educate and familiarize field personnel with the concept of Tool Box Talks as a way to increase health and safety discussions on a jobsite. Tool Box talks will help promote comradery and communication.

8-Hour Fall Prevention SST-307
This course is approved by the NYC Department of Buildings to satisfy the Site Safety Training (SST) requirements as per NYC Local Law 196.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- This course will ensure field personnel learn the different forms of fall protection, types of equipment, and their proper use, care and storage
- Participate in hands-on training for body support devices, connectors and additional systems

4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- This course is a NYC DOB-approved Site Safety Training (SST) course and is required for an individual to use or work on a Supported Scaffold
- Train and educate field personnel how to recognize and prevent deaths and serious injuries when using scaffolds on construction sites
- The course structure is lecture, group discussions, handouts, demos and hands-on-activities

This course covers OSHA's Control for Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standards.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
- To educate and train field personnel to prevent injury or death by requiring certain procedures to be taken before working on or servicing equipment

2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness SST-302
This course is approved by the NYC Department of Buildings to satisfy the Site Safety Training (SST) requirements as per NYC Local Law 196.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Trainees will become generally familiar with adverse effects of drug and alcohol in the workplace
- Trainees will be able to recognize problems associated with substance dependency
- Trainees may also help trainees better recognize and understand issues of chemical dependence that may affect the lives of others
